Dungeons and Distractions

Co-created with Edward Choy, Dungeons and Distractions premiered in August 2023 as the first off-the-table Dungeons-and-Dragons-inspired theatrical experience in Asia, and still the only one of its kind in the world to have full fight choreography.

Performers become playable characters controlled by the audience, executing audience choices from the most creative to the extremely ill-advised, with the success or failure of their choices determined by the rolls of huge inflatable dice. This includes how well they fare in combat, where you can expect to see flashy fight choreography (or prat falls, depending on audience luck with the dice). As part of our interest in decolonising the game, expect to see Asian influences, fight styles, or full-on Asian storylines.

Dungeons and Distractions has been commissioned for three different festivals (including Singapore ComicCon) and has received international touring interest.
